We develop a methodology that estimates lost sales for a corporation. This project considers item level demand and sales at individual clubs, day of the week effects, and product margin to develop a lost sales estimate.

The main goal of this research is to investigate and develop methods that will provide inventory analysts with better tools that can assess the trade-offs between cost, service, and risk within lean inventory systems. A literature review of the area was performed and metrics identified.
