The objective of this project is to identify and implement best practices for Lean 6E5 initiatives by identifying and prioritizing projects and assisting in projects where expertise matches
The Investigator(s) will provide on-going research, consultation, design, and assessment support to the Federal Aviation Administration in identifying and implementing best practices for lean 6-sigma initiatives in continuous process improvement. The FAA provides a benchmark case for the emerging integrated lean and 6-sigma improvement discipline, because of the diversity and mission criticality of field service operations in support of the National Air Space (NAS). During the course of the membership term, one or more additional focused study tasks may be defined and reported to the CELDi membership at the immediately subsequent center meeting.
