The survey captured the logistical status of the 27 participating companies and revealed some areas for improvements and cost reductions for those companies.
The survey captured the general logistics status of the participating companies and revealed some areas for improvements and cost reductions for the individual companies. The most significant areas for improvement are implementation of a transportation management system and increasing cooperation with other companies. Improvements in TMS and cooperation will lead to a reduction in transportation costs by improving the efficiency of shipments, by reducing the level of expedited shipments and by reducing deadhead miles.
