In 2017, CELDi will graduate from the National Science Foundation’s I/UCRC program.  We are planning for our graduation and wanted to let industry and university researchers know about our new model and value proposition.

We will keep many of the great things from the past 14 years, but some things are changing.

For industry, the expectations under the new model are:

• Attend our annual research symposium and have generalized research results presented at research symposium (i.e. problem domain, modeling issues, general solution approaches)
• Participate in networking with other industry members, faculty and students
• Participate in discussions of general problem domain future forecast and associated research issues
• Support goal of symposium as collaboration / education / networking, not commercialism
• Sponsor a research project with your university partner

For university researchers, the expectations of the new model are:

• Attend and present your general industry research results at research symposium (i.e. problem domain, modeling issues, general solution approaches)
• Participate in networking with other industry members, faculty and students
• Participate in discussions of best practices for industry/academic collaboration
• Bring student researchers to research symposium to interact with industry
• Support goal of symposium as collaboration / education / networking, not industry recruiting
• Support an environment of collaboration, not competition for members
• Pay CELDi consortium fee for each industry member
